The Metropolitan Bank and
Trust Company (Metrobank) is the flagship company of the
Metrobank Group,
the Philippines' premier and largest financial conglomerate. Metrobank has
over 760 local and international branches and offices under its aegis, and
outside the Philippines, it has branches, offices and subsidiaries in USA,
Canada, UK, Spain, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, China (including Hong

The bank is a universal bank
providing, on its own account and through other members of the Metrobank
Group, a full range of banking and other financial services. The bank,
through its expanding branch network, offers banking services throughout the
Philippines, particularly to middle-market businesses and leading Philippine
and multi-national corporations. Metrobank is the leading provider of trade
finance in the country. The Metrobank Tokyo branch started it operations on
March 28,1996, obtaining all necessary licenses from the Ministry of Finance
Japan. The former office was located at 5-4 koji-machi Chiyoda-ku Tokyo.

On April 11,1999, the branch
relocated its office to its present location, 1F Chiyoda First
Building-East, 3-8-1 Nishi-Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, to accommodate the
increase in volume of transactions and to consolidate operations in one
office. The Metrobank Osaka sub-branch started operations on December
14,1998, the former office was located at 2F Kitahama Daimei Building 2-3-7
Fushimi-cho Chuo-ka Osaka . On November 3,2000, the Osaka sub-branch office
transferred to its present location at 1F Honmachi Central Building, 4-2-5
Honmachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka to accommodate the increasing volume of
operations.. |
